While we assumed that Kanye West's recent The Life of Pablo was going to go down as one of 2016's most anticipated album releases, it seems as though being fickle with the title really cost him
Billboard reported on Tuesday that Yeezus' seventh studio album failed to make the charts entirely!Apparently, TIDAL refused to share Kanye's sales figures with the music ranker at all! Not a good sign…The chart's Vice President Silvio Pietroluongo issued a statement, saying:
"Streams from TIDAL for this title will not contribute to Billboard's chart rankings at this time. Billboard has been informed that TIDAL is not currently reporting streams for tracks on Kanye's album to Nielsen Music."
With that said, we have heard reports that Pablo has been illegally downloaded at least 500,000 times since it dropped on February 14, so it's not like people aren't listening to it… this will just be Kanye's least successful album commercially.
