The culprit Akwasi Ganu butchered his mother, father, brother, sister and two neighbors at Assin Akrofuom Friday dawn.
The two neighbours were the landlord of the house Ganu stayed and the landlord’s wife.
The 35-year-old ex-convict was, however, lynched to death by some youth at Danwomako a nearby village when he attempted to flee murder scene.
Residents who are still in shock are yet to determine what triggered Ganu to commit the heinous crime.
The bodies have been deposited at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital at Assin Fosu as investigations continue into the matter.
Divisional Police Commander John Coffie who confirmed the incident to Starr News said Ganu severed the heads of his parents before proceeding to butcher his siblings.
