Nigerians including Sen. Ben Murray Bruce and former Presidential candidate,
Remi Sonaiya have come out on twitter
to condemn the abduction of a 13 year old girl by a Kano-based man identified as Yinusa who took Ese from her mother's shop
in Bayelsa in August 12th 2015, to Kano state where he has
married her and forced her to change her religion to Islam. When interrogated Yinusa said Ese gave her consent to the
marriage. He has also changed her name to Aisha.
Many
Nigerians are calling on President Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo,
Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, governors of Kano and
Bayelsa state, Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II and others to work
towards the immediate release of Ese.
