He made this declaration inside the National Working Committee hall at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Gulak added that he decided to take over the leadership of the party following the court order of December 16, 2015, which ordered the party to name someone from the northeast to replace the former chairman of the party, Adamu Mu’azu.
He told the party’s workers that the NWC must work with him in order to move the party forward.
However, the embattled acting national chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, disclosed that he will soon address the press at the Legacy House presidential campaign office of the party in Maitama, Abuja on the controversy rocking the party later.
