Following the withdrawal of the criminal case against Radio Biafra director Nnamdi Kanu from an Abuja magistrate court by the DSS on Wednesday, fresh facts have emerged from the development.

The Federal Government and the DSS are said to be preparing fresh charges of "terrorism" against Mazi Kanu at a higher court. It was reported that "the government through its agent, the Department of State Services (DSS), had elected to withdraw the case at the lower court for a higher court, which has jurisdiction to entertain charges bordering on terrorism, to take over."
