Police arrest two Ogun cultists for stealing Okada

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two suspected members of Eiye Confraternity for robbing some commercial motorcyclists of their motorcycles at gunpoint on Wednesday in Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects are David Abulumen and Mayowa Olajide, who were described as being “notorious.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said police operatives attached to Ogijo Division of the command, while on surveillance in the area with some members of Vigilante Services of the state, responded to a distress call from a victim of the robbery.
“They went after the suspects and they were arrested. Items recovered from them included a gun, assorted charms and two motorcycles snatched from their victims.”
Adejobi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the state Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, had commended the gallant officers and Vigilante Services personnel who carried out the operation that led to the arrest of the notorious cultists, who he alleged had been terrorising the innocent people of the Ogijo area.
He said, “The commissioner has also directed that the matter be handed over to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for proper investigation and prosecution.”
